Chhattisgarh Government Empowers Divyang Youth Through 'Civil Services Incentive Scheme

In a remarkable step towards inclusivity and empowerment, the Government of Chhattisgarh is running a special initiative – "Civil Services Incentive Scheme" – under the Department of Social Welfare to support and encourage persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) to participate in prestigious civil services examinations.

Under this scheme, Divyang candidates who successfully pass.
the Preliminary Civil Services Examination receive an incentive of ₹20,000, and
those who clear the Main Examination are awarded ₹50,000.
This initiative is aimed at motivating and financially supporting eligible candidates belonging to Chhattisgarh who aspire to serve the nation through administrative services like UPSC and CGPSC.
Key Highlights:
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh and should hold a valid disability certificate.
The incentive is applicable only for recognized competitive civil service exams.
The benefit is available once for each stage (Prelims and Mains).
Application Process:-
1. Eligible candidates must apply through their District Social Welfare Office.
2. Required documents include:
Domicile certificate
Disability certificate
Proof of passing the exam (Prelims/Main)
Bank account details
3. After verification, the incentive amount is directly transferred to the applicant’s bank account.
This progressive scheme is opening doors for Divyang youth of Chhattisgarh to dream big, aim high, and serve the nation with dignity and pride. The scheme not only provides financial relief but also inspires a sense of purpose and inclusion.
