Sukhda Sahara Yojana
1. Objective
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to widowed, abandoned, and disabled women living below the poverty line (BPL) to help them sustain their livelihood.
It is designed to support women who have no financial backing, ensuring they can meet their basic needs with dignity.

2. Eligibility Criteria
Beneficiary must be a woman (Widow, abandoned, or disabled).
Economic Status: Must belong to a family living below the poverty line (BPL).
Age Requirement: 18 years or above.
Resident: Must be a permanent resident of the concerned district/area.
Special Eligibility:
Widow women with no source of income.
Abandoned (deserted) women.
Women with disabilities.
3. Benefits Provided
Monthly Pension: ₹500/- per month.
The pension is directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
4. Application Process
1. Obtain the application form from the Municipal Corporation / Municipal Council / Gram Panchayat.
2. Attach the following documents with the application:
Aadhaar Card copy
Bank passbook copy
Residence proof
BPL card copy
Death certificate (in case of widow)
Divorce/abandonment proof (if applicable)
Disability certificate (if applicable)
3. Submit the completed form to the Gram Panchayat / Municipal Council / Municipal Corporation office.
4. The Panchayat Secretary/Ward Officer will verify the eligibility and forward the proposal to the Janpad Panchayat / Municipal Corporation.
5. After approval, the beneficiary’s name is added to the scheme list and the pension starts.
5. Important Points
This scheme is only for women.
Priority is given to poor, destitute, and socially disadvantaged women.
Beneficiary must have an active bank account to receive the pension.
Providing false information may lead to cancellation of benefits.
